Alternatives to CoolSculpting at Glow Medispa https://glowspaseattle.com/2018/04/02/alternatives-coolsculpting-glow-medispa/ Mon, 02 Apr 2018 09:00:56 +0000 https://glowspaseattle.preview.crystalcleardm.com/?p=1972 Even though CoolSculpting can be effective in some situations, many people aren’t ready to deal with the harsh side effects of that fat reduction procedure. Patients often struggle with large bruises, sensitive skin, and general inflammation for multiple days after every CoolSculpting appointment. Our team understands that those issues can be overwhelming, and that is why we are devoted to offering a wide variety of minimally invasive alternatives. We can help you come up with a non-surgical treatment plan that melts away stubborn fat, eradicates cellulite, and tones loose skin.

Why Won’t My Fat Disappear?

Getting rid of stubborn body fat is a frustrating process, and that is one of the reasons why many people turn to professional fat reduction treatments. Your body naturally retains as much fat as possible so that you have an emergency supply of energy at all times. You could diet and exercise for years without seeing any changes in your upper arms, chest, back, or abdomen. Our fat reduction procedures quickly and gently eliminate fatty tissue by stimulating some of the natural healing processes inside your body.

Vanquish

Vanquish ME has become one of the most popular weight loss treatments on the market, and it is a great starting point for those who would like to safely melt away their fat. Like many other body contouring procedures, Vanquish ME uses waves of radiofrequency energy to break apart fat cells. Once those cells are broken into smaller components, it will be easier for your body to carry them away. Most patients need multiple Vanquish ME appointments, but the results are often breathtaking. After your Vanquish ME treatments, you won’t have to worry about any lingering discomfort or other unusual side effects.

Cellutone

This treatment was specifically designed to reduce the circumference of the waist by obliterating nearby pockets of fat. It also stimulates the dermis to minimize any skin laxity issues that you might be dealing with. Instead of relying on lasers or RF waves, Cellutone breaks apart your fatty tissue with thousands of vibrations every second. This treatment is administered with a handheld device that massages your skin and deep tissue. Cellutone is completely non-invasive, and most patients claim that they experience no unwanted side effects.

Our team at Glow Medispa is ready to help you create the body of your dreams without the unwanted side effects of CoolSculpting. In addition to these treatment options, we also offer a wide variety of spa services including facials, waxing, peels, and microdermabrasion. Contact us today to schedule your consultation.

Reflections on 2017 https://glowspaseattle.com/2017/12/20/reflections-on-2017/ Wed, 20 Dec 2017 09:00:11 +0000 https://glowspaseattle.preview.crystalcleardm.com/?p=1755 By Kate Dee, MD

I am thrilled to say I just found out that Glow Medispa was voted Best Medispa by Seattle Magazine readers in the 2017 Readers’ Choice awards! The best part about this is that I had no idea voting was going on, and we did not have a campaign to ask our clients for votes. It was a total surprise, and thank you Seattle! We love you!

This year has been an incredible ride. In January, I happened to meet an aesthetic nurse named Mary Cartwright whom I knew was the ONLY injector in the entire Pacific Northwest that a laser friend of mine would let touch him with a needle. We decided to have lunch and after talking with her for less than an hour I offered her a job on the spot. What a gem of a person! And she said yes! Mary joined my staff soon after that lunch and we have been great partners ever since.

2017 was a year of expansion for us, with the opening of our satellite location in Magnolia in February. Glow Too is a small boutique spa that is open by appointment only. There, we provide a special exclusive and private experience where we can provide many of the services available in our flagship West Seattle spa. Starting in January 2018, Glow Too will be open for appointments 4 days/week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

We have also expanded services. With the addition of the LaseMD fractional laser, our armamentarium of tools is now complete. Fractional laser resurfacing will smooth and plump the skin and lift pigment like sun damage and even melasma– and the best part is it makes your skin Glow. And that’s our purpose in life.

In September, Danielle joined Toni and Jeni to complete our team of Master Aestheticians. Danielle is also a professional makeup artist and has added her valuable expertise in Jane Iredale cosmetics, offering make-overs and special occasion makeup to our services.

I’m excited to share that Teri Scott will be joining our staff in January. Teri is a Nurse Practitioner and expert in injectables. Now between Mary, Teri and myself we will be fully staffed 6 days/week. I’m looking forward to sharing and growing more with you all in 2018. As I approach my 50th birthday in a few weeks (can you believe it?!?!), I want to thank you all for being a part of our Glow family.
